Varietal Composition: 100% Garnacha
Notes: La Flor de Muga Rosé is the result of a selection of extremely old, head-trained Garnacha vineyards planted at the viticultural climatic extremes of Rioja Alta. Muga sought out the finest old Garnacha vineyards in Rioja Alta planted in high altitude zones to produce a serious, complex, fresh, and aromatic rosé. The fruit comes specifically from Barrio de la Estación, Haro, Rioja Alta and the vines were planted between 1927-1947. The wine is made from free-run juice, with a short maceration time and only 50% is used to make the wine. Fermentation takes place in small wooden vats, on a parcel by parcel basis. The wine ages on fine lees for roughly 4 months before release.
