Notes: Platt Vineyard Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a meticulously crafted wine, fermented in barrel with native or selected yeasts and aged for 14 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels—33% new and 67% used—to build texture and depth while preserving vibrancy. Sourced exclusively from mature vines in three select blocks of the West Sonoma Coast vineyard, this Reserve bottling showcases the site’s remarkable mineral intensity and coastal influence. The wine opens with concentrated aromas of citrus oil, orange blossom, and wild fennel, layered with orchard fruits, almond paste, and crushed white rocks. On the palate, it is compact and chalky, with saturated flavors of nectarine, mandarin, and lemon peel, framed by seamlessly integrated oak. Powerful yet precise, it finishes with impressive length and a persistent saline minerality that reflects the vineyard’s coastal terroir.
